Pouch Cove Residency 2022.

It’s hard to describe the experience of being fully immersed in your practice, I guess its like truly letting go. Life has a habit of distracting your flow, so to eliminate the noise for a solid chunk of time allows you to go deep and learn more about where you are heading as an artist.

Since its founding in 1990 by James Baird, The Pouch Cove Foundation (incorporated in 1997) has provided a retreat for more than one thousand visiting artists from around the world, at its facilities on the Northern Avalon Peninsula in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada..

James Baird

It all begins with an invitation. If you are lucky enough to receive one you would be mad not to accept. The hospitality and generosity of the foundations host is wonderful. What James has done for artists over the years in providing a stunning location and environment to collaborate and grow an artists practice is a real gift.

Forever thankful…..

Over 4 weeks, 9 pieces were created, lifelong connections made. The show ‘Water’ launched and runs in the gallery and online until the end of June and the future looks bright.

what next ….. well a reunion we hope, I guess keep watching and who knows!
